Our March meeting will be on Tuesday, March 21st, at 11:30 AM (please note the earlier start time) at the Out-O-Town Club in Kaukauna. Our business meeting and lunch will be followed by a 1 PM tour of the Fox Energy Center natural gas power plant located in Wrightstown near the Out-O-Town Club. In order to attend the tour, you must pre-register by contacting John Pfankuch (contact info in the newsletter) no later than Friday, March 17th. The majority of the tour will be outdoors so dress appropriately. Due to the tour, the Zoom call will be limited to the business meeting. Zoom information is in the newsletter.
Our February meeting will be on Tuesday, February 21st at Noon at the Out-O-Town Club or via Zoom. The program topic regards regulations and practices surrounding broadcast towers today. It was originally presented to Chapter 25. Presenters were Bill Harland and John Robinson, PE of ERI in Chandler, IN. One of the members, Doug Garlinger, stated “This presentation should be watched by every US broadcast engineer involved with a tower.” The Zoom link in is the newsletter.
Our January meeting will be on Tuesday, January 17th at the Out-O-Town Club in Kaukauna at 5:30 PM. It will be our holiday party. There will be no Zoom meeting for this meeting. Drinks will be starting at 5:30 and dinner at 6:30.
Our September 2022 meeting will be on Tuesday, September 20 at the Out-O-Town Club in Kaukauna or on Zoom (Zoom information is in the newsletter). Our program presenter will be Jay Gedanken of Media Excel. Jay will be talking about Multi Camera synchronization with arbitrary delays on the cameras as well as transcoding.
Our July Meeting will be the Chapter Picnic in conjunction with The Next Best Thing Tour at Midwest Communications in Green Bay. Please note that due to road work, access to Midwest Communications will only be allowed from the north. A suggested route is in the newsletter. Our May meeting will be Tuesday, May 17th, at Noon, at the Out-O-Town Club or via Zoom.
Our program will be presented by Bert Goldman from Geo Broadcast Solutions. He will be speaking on Advances in Synchronous FB booster design and construction. Bert is currently the president of Goldman Engineering Management. Bert brings more than 45 years of experience in broadcast engineering. He has extensive experience in facility design, Spectrum improvement, FCC applications, and all facets of station construction.

Our March meeting will be on Tuesday, March 15th at Noon at the Out-O-Town Club in Kaukauna. The program will be a presentation by Conrad Trautmann, the Chief Technology Officer for Cumulus Media. He has 20 years in engineering local radio, 16 in network radio, and the past 6 years leading technology for Cumulus Media. Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, February 15th at the Out-O-Town Club in Kaukauna or via Microsoft Teams. The program for this meeting will be Jeff Schick, the Chief Technology Officer of Spite Media. He will be sharing “How does digital signage fit into broadcast facilities? The basics and more.”
