Our March meeting will be on Tuesday, March 21st, at 11:30 AM (please note the earlier start time) at the Out-O-Town Club in Kaukauna. Our business meeting and lunch will be followed by a 1 PM tour of the Fox Energy Center natural gas power plant located in Wrightstown near the Out-O-Town Club. In order to attend the tour, you must pre-register by contacting John Pfankuch (contact info in the newsletter) no later than Friday, March 17th. The majority of the tour will be outdoors so dress appropriately. Due to the tour, the Zoom call will be limited to the business meeting. Zoom information is in the newsletter.
Our April meeting will be held online using Zoom at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, April 21st. Our discussion topic will be “Pandemic Responses, Impacts, Challenges, and Success Stories.” How has your station or business adapted to social distancing? Our meeting will be limited to 40 minutes by Zoom.
Chapter Chair Bill Hubbard will send an email to registered members of Chapter 80 with connection instructions, log-in information, and helpful hints. If you are reading this and are not a chapter member but would like to participate in the virtual meeting, please email Bill. Include your name, email address, and affiliation. To minimize the risk of an outside party disrupting our session, only individuals known to the chapter in advance will be admitted to the meeting room.
Our next meeting is Tuesday, February 18 at Noon at the Out-O-Town Club in Kaukauna.
We do not have a formal program for this month so we will complete a business meeting and proceed with a discussion of upcoming events. Planning will begin soon for the WBA Summer Engineering Conference on June 17th in La Crosse. We need your input to make this event a success again this year. Please bring your thoughts and suggestions to the meeting.
The September Meeting will be held at Julie’s Diner on Main Street in Green Bay on September 15 at Noon. Following the business meeting and lunch we will have a tour of the WFRV-TV Channel 5 studios.
The September Newsletter is now posted on the Newsletter page.
