January 2022 News and Notes

The January meeting will be on Tuesday, January 18th at the Out-O-Town Club in Kaukauna. This will be our Holiday Party. Cocktails will begin at 5:30 PM and dinner will be at 6:30 PM.The guest speaker will be Kregg Shilbauer, Director of Digital, Broadcast and Game Presentation for the Green Bay Packers. Kregg will share with us what it takes to create a 4 hour live program for over 80,000 fans in Lambeau Field and beyond.

This Month

Our November meeting will be on Tuesday, November 16th at Noon. Our program will be Jacob Daniluck and Doug Ferber speaking on the latest in audio codec technology. The business meeting will start at noon followed by the program. You are welcome to join us at the Out O’ Town Club or via the web using Zoom (see the newsletter for details).

July 2021 News and Notes

Our July meeting will be on Tuesday, July 20th. This meeting will be our summer picnic. We are doing this in conjunction with the Next Big Thing tour. Thanks to Steve for giving us a location to have the picnic and NBT tour. The location is Woodward Radio Group, 2800 East College Avenue, Appleton, WI 54915. You can check out their website and register in advance and to learn more about it. They have a series of displays from many different companies and the tour is sponsored by Broadcasters General Store and Second Opinion Communications. Their event will run 11-2 so you can take the tour before grabbing lunch or wait until after.

June 2021 News and Notes

Our June meeting will be Tuesday, June 15th at Noon at the Out-O-Town Club in Kaukauna or via Microsoft Teams. The topic this month is a pre-recorded presentation from Shane Toven. He recorded it last month for the Alabama Engineering Association and will be explaining the process of converting a radio studio to IP.
